Speech for Broadcast

Case Study: Composer of the Week

For more than five years, The Classical Recording Company has been recording the speech links for the long-running strand “Composer of the Week”, broadcast each weekday lunchtime on BBC Radio 3. Although the programme is produced in Cardiff by BBC Wales, its presenter Donald Macleod is a resident in North London and it is more convenient to record the speech links in our Kentish Town speech studio. This also guarantees consistent speech quality and is more cost effective than booking studios in Broadcasting House.

We also provided location speech facilities when COTW went on location to Paris for a week of programmes, as well as working on a variety of other Cardiff based output such as “Discovering Music”.

For more information about Composer of the Week visit the COTW web site.
