Demonstration CD Recording

There are many reasons why performers might require a demonstration recording or demo. It might be for self-promotion, to try and get representation by an agent, for entry to a competition or simply to get a taste of the recording experience. Our Demo Package in association with St. John’s, Smith Square can meet all those requirements, providing an ideal combination of production, recording and post-production in a world-class central London venue with a superb Steinway model “D”.

The package comprises the following elements:

• 3 hr morning recording session with producer and engineer
• Hire of St. John’s, Smith Square, London
• Hire and tuning of the Steinway Model “D” Concert Grand Piano
• Post-production at our Kentish Town studios on the same afternoon
• 10 copies on CD-Rs with text based “Sprint” inlays to take away

We advise most performers to aim for a maximum of 20 minutes recorded material covering repertoire appropriate to the recipients of the demo. We will apply the same high production and recording standards to a demo session as we would for any commercial recording session and the producer will require scores of all the repertoire to be recorded. A copy of the finished CD will be kept in our archive so that further copies can be ordered in the future. It is also possible to combine several demo packages to create a longer CD if required.
